"One of the most vibrant festivals in the United Kingdom, drawing an audience of around 30,000, and once again showcasing a stellar lineup of artists. I had the pleasure of working with DIVERSE ARTISTIC NETWORK at the Meadow, the festival's dedicated chilling and healing space. Each day, I hosted a workshop that attracted many festival-goers, immersing them in the experience. It was an honor to collaborate with incredible artists like Cicilia Ndhlovu (Zimbabwe) and Bidu Ire (Ivory Coast), and to lead a memorable workshop session at The ROOTS CORNER, which was followed by a vibrant procession."

PRESIDENTIAL SHOW

"I am honored to have had the opportunity to perform for Brazilian President Lula on two occasions. The first was when he visited London to meet Queen Elizabeth, where I performed alongside the Brazilian sensation Adma Newport at the Barbican Centre, with the esteemed Gilberto Gil, then Brazil's Minister of Culture, in attendance.

The second performance was in Ghana, Africa, where I had the privilege of performing for President Lula once again. Commissioned by the Brazilian Embassy and in collaboration with Ambassador Luis Fernando Serra and Claudio Kron, we conducted workshops in Ghana with the Tabom People, Obonu Royal Drummers, and Mustapha Tettey Addy. In partnership with the Ghana Institute of Languages, Ghana University, and the Baobab Children’s Foundation, under the direction of Edit the Vos, we engaged over 400 students in Brazilian percussion, dance, and Capoeira. This culminated in an incredible performance to welcome President Lula."

CONGRATULATIONS 💎

"Our story began around 1996 when he started his first job, and I was there as a language student. He’s always been smart, welcoming, and dedicated, and has done amazing things for our local community. Now, as the Mayor of Kirklees, I couldn’t be more thrilled when I heard the news. It’s such a joy to see my friends accomplish great things.

At an event about role models, he even mentioned my name, which was such a kind gesture. Thank you, Masood!"

When I got invited by Opera North to run workshops for refugees organized by Opera North. I couldn't believe my luck. As my music carrier is always based in take back to Africa what they have done to us Brazilians.

As Brazil is one of the biggest nation in the world and Bahia the place I was born is where we have the biggest population of Africans in one place, so we celebrate a lot about that in Brazil.

Working with people from Cameroon, Sudan, Eritrea, Bangladesh I was delighted as it was the platform that I always wanted to share my music and culture.  Thank you...
